Dr. Mary Adeyemo (Ed.D.)

Dr. Mary O. Adeyemo is an accomplished educator, ministry leader, and community advocate with nearly two decades of service in public education and faith-based leadership. She brings a strong commitment to children, families and community development through education, ministry, and nonprofit engagement.


Dr. Adeyemo is an early childhood and special education elementary school teacher with the Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education in Georgia. She has served in the United State public school system for 20 years, supporting diverse learners and advancing education excellence at the elementary level.


Dr. Adeyemo holds an extensive academic background that reflects her dedication to both education and ministry. She has a Bachelor of Science (General Studies), M.Ed. (Early Childhood Education) from former Armstrong State University (Now Georgia Southern University); Master of Religious Education and Doctor of Ministry in Counseling from Covington Theological Seminary, Education Specialist, and Ed.D. from Walden University. In addition to her education, Dr. Adeyemo serves as an Associate Minister at St. Hone Baptist Church Savannah, Georgia. She previously served as a children and youth ministry coordinator with the Berean Christian Associate.


She has actively participated in interfaith hospitality network community projects in Savannah and remains deeply committed to outreach and supports several nonprofit organizations, including St. Jude Children’s, Have FAITH Foundation and other charitable causes . Dr. Adeyemo serves as Vice Chair Director, bringing a unique and valuable perspective shaped by her experience in education, ministry and community service. Her leadership reflects a lifelong dedication to empowering families, and advancing faith-centered community impact.
